Westlodge Hotel

The Westlodge Hotel is situated on the edge of the beautiful town of Bantry in the heart of West Cork. Hotel facilities include a superb Health & Leisure Centre, extensive children’s activities, indoor and outdoor sports, fully licensed restaurant and bar. All bedrooms consist of ensuite facilities, direct dial telephone, TV with multichannel, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Meet your coach at Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, Stockhole Lane K67 X3H5. We’ll travel south towards Bantry making comfort stops en-route before arriving late afternoon at the West Lodge Hotel in Bantry.

DAY 2

This morning after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join your coach as to travel to discover the natural beauty of Glengarriff where ocean, river, and ancient oak forest meet. Take a trip by boat to the exotic garden island of Garnish, world renowned for its Italian Gardens and famous collection of plants. Afterwards visit the beautiful town of Kenmare nestling peacefully in the mouth of the bay before re-joining your coach to return to your hotel.

DAY 3 -

After breakfast we depart the hotel (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) to spend the day touring the beautiful Beara Peninsula which stretches out into the Atlantic Ocean. The breath-taking rural scenery includes mountains and valleys rich in archaeological sites such as mysterious stone circles, picturesque villages and towns and a spectacularly rugged coastline. Afterwards we will make a stop in Bantry for some free time to explore before returning to your hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 4 -

After breakfast we depart (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) to enjoy the dramatic scenery of the Kilmore Peninsula, as we drive to Mizen Head at the extreme southwestern tip of Ireland to cross the suspension footbridge high above the gorge full of the swirling Atlantic Ocean and look out for whales and dolphins before visiting the award winning Mizen Signal Station. Stop off for lunch at the coastal village of Schull nestling beneath the foothills of Mount Gabriel before a visit to Bantry House and Gardens, a beautiful 18th century stately home with stunning views over the bay. Later meet your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and make your way to your hotel.

DAY 5 -

This morning after breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), we bid farewell to Bantry Bay and join the coach for the journey home back to your original joining point, making comfort stops en-route.
