Cork International Choral Festival 2026

  • Cork City
  • April 29 - May 3

The Cork International Choral Festival is one of Europe’s leading celebrations of choral music, taking place annually in Cork and bringing the city to life with song for five unforgettable days. Running from 29 April to 3 May 2026, the festival welcomes thousands of performers from across the world for a vibrant programme of gala concerts, national and international competitions, workshops and community events. With performances held across some of Cork’s most iconic venues, as well as throughout the streets and public spaces, the festival creates a unique atmosphere where music is everywhere, offering an inspiring experience for both participants and audiences alike.

Established in 1954, the festival has built an international reputation for excellence, attracting choirs of all styles and standards, from youth and school groups to highly accomplished ensembles. Alongside the main competitions, participants can enjoy a wide range of performance opportunities including the popular Choral Trail, where groups perform in more informal settings across the city, adding to the lively and welcoming atmosphere.

In addition to performing, choirs can take part in workshops and masterclasses led by internationally recognised conductors and musicians, offering valuable opportunities to learn, develop and connect with others in the choral community. With its blend of high quality performances, cultural exchange and the vibrant setting of Cork city, the festival offers a truly memorable experience both on and off the stage.
