The WAMSB World Championships 2027 will bring the world of marching and show bands to Galway from 13–16 August 2027. Organised by the World Association of Marching Show Bands in partnership with local and national bodies, the championships will welcome thousands of musicians, performers and supporters from across the globe.

Across several days of competition and performance, bands will take part in a dynamic programme including concert band contests, field shows, parades and drumline events, transforming Galway into a vibrant celebration of music, culture and international talent. As a key moment on the global band calendar, WAMSB 2027 will not only showcase world class performances but also position Ireland firmly on the international stage for marching and performing arts.

Beyond the performances, WAMSB 2027 will also feature workshops, cultural exchange opportunities and a panel of international judges, giving bands the chance to learn, connect and perform at the highest level.

Bands looking to take part in the WAMSB World Championships 2027 can join this incredible international event with a complete package from just €595 per person. Your stay includes 3 nights’ accommodation on the University of Galway campus, located within easy walking distance of the marching field, along with 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners on campus.
